UKUPC is all about collaboration - the eight UK consortia have teamed up to conduct our procurement activities with the goal of achieving financial and operational efficiencies, as well as sharing best practice. By working together to harness the power of group purchasing, we are able to save time and money whilst also increasing ours teams’ skills and capabilities which in turn benefits our members. By integrating the efforts of our expert teams, we can provide savings, efficiencies and a better service for all of the UKUPC community.
The Board’s vision is to improve procurement across the higher education sector by working collaboratively, to develop plans that are aligned and make best use of resources, while being responsible and sustainable. UKUPC provides strategic leadership to its working groups:
Provides a strategic overview of the delivery of the national Joint Contracting Programme, working collaboratively to ensure that we have the right framework agreements in place at the right time.
Promoting the benefits of collaborative procurement, identifying key audiences and developing tailored messages.
Working together to improve the information systems used by the consortia and member institutions.
